Art at The Hague University of Applied Sciences
The Hague University of Applied Sciences is perhaps not the most obvious place to come across an art collection but our main building at the Johanna Westerdijkplein houses a special collection.
There are works by Andreas Gursky, Bertien van Manen, Elspeth Diederix, Lawrence Weiner, Liza May Post, Stephan Balkenhol and Wijnanda Deroo, among many others.
The art provides food for thought, offers you a different view on the world, and invites you to slow down for a moment. From the conversations we had with employees and students during the making of this book, we also discovered that the art collection can even make you feel welcome here.
During those brief encounters, those few moments of contemplation, a real connection is formed between the works of art and the staff and students. > Read more
