Art Lovers #12 – walk & talk with Hans van Bentem

See the artist at work, walk with him and get to know his work.

Art Lovers #12 on Thursday June 19th is dedicated to the well known artist Hans van Bentem. Hans will show us how he works and guide us past his work.

Hans van Bentem (1965, The Hague, NL) makes sculptures. Van Bentem’s work is included in various art collections and has been shown in exhibitions in The Netherlands and abroad. His work can be seen permanently in the public space all over The Netherlands.
He also created a large, permanent work of art for the Hague University of Applied Sciences in 1997, the iconic SCULPTUUR 1997. The biggest element of the sculpture is located on the square in front of The Hague University of Applied Sciences.

The work is still in very good condition after all this time, but it does need some maintenance.
On 19 June, Van Bentem will be working on the restoration of his sculpture and will also give a tour of all his sculptures in and around the Hague University of Applied Sciences. Since the green statue on the square is not the only statue he made, there are more to discover.

Join us at the statue on the square on June 19 at 12:00, meet the artist and walk with us.
