Art Lovers #8: Wormonomics by Charlotte van Winden

There’s a new Art Lovers! Art Lovers #8 presents the project Wormonomics by visual artist Charlotte van Winden. The project combines video art and a manifesto about what people can learn from earthworms with tufted earthworm carpets.

With the video, the artist explores the underground world of worms, and uses humor and satire to criticize capitalism, environmental exploitation and economic inequality. Through the wisdom of earthworms, it lets the viewer reflect on themes such as sustainability, justice and simplicity.

Come and see the video and Charlotte’s work during Sustainable Tuesday! You can find het work in and around a small greenhouse. The project takes place next Tuesday, October 8 from 11:00 in the oval of The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
