Artistic Human Rights

students speak up, during Faith in Human Rights

On Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 14:00, the exhibition Faith in Human Rights will be opened in the Atrium of The Hague University of Applied Sciences by The Hague city council members Judith Klokkenburg-Redeker and Caroline Verduin.

This exhibition shows the activist posters and protest signs that we made with students in March of this year as part of the minor “Peace Building, Justice & Human Rights”.

One of the starting points of the workshop was article 27 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights:

We all have the right to get involved in our community’s arts, music, literature and sciences, and the benefits they bring. If we are an artist, a musician, a writer or a scientist, our works should be protected and we should be able to benefit from them.

Would you like to make your own protest sign? Then join us on Thursday 8 December 2022 from 14:30 to 16:00 at the workshop “Artistic Human rights” at the Faith in Human Rights festival by graphic designer Anna Lamslag and artist Johan Nieuwenhuize.
