Everyone uses an umbrella once in a while. It literally protects us from the elements. The umbrella also has a symbolic function, it is something that can avert bad things. And after rain comes sunshine.
This umbrella is sealed and cannot be used, has been stripped of its original function.
“Sealed Rain” consists of a series of ten umbrellas, in various places around the atrium of The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
