Purple Portraits

Friday 9 December is Purple Friday, a day where everyone can show solidarity with the LGBTIQ+ community simply by wearing purple clothes.

The Hague University of Applied Sciences believes it is important to create an inclusive study- and work environment together, so that everyone can be themselves.
Therefore, The Lighthouse organises the Share your story event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., to draw attention to the stories of queer individuals and their allies.

Artist Johan Nieuwenhuize portrayed students and employees who support the LGBTIQ+ community. These portraits will be on display in the atrium on Purple Friday.
